May 17, 2004 BOWIE (Special) - Two people arrested last
October, in what Bowie Police called one of the biggest methamphetamine
drug busts in 10 years, were indicted by the Montague County Grand Jury
last Monday.
District Attorney Tim Cole reported nine indictments, including one
that was sealed on a charge of manufacture of a controlled substance.
James Wayne Caswell, 46, and Marta Martin Buck, 45, both of Bowie, were
indicted on one charge each of manufacture of a controlled substance.
Bonds were $100,000 on each.
The pair, along with two others, were jailed on Oct. 17, 2003, when
police raided Caswell's residence at 700 Central. An officer on patrol
reported that he noticed a strong odor of ether coming from the home. A
search warrant was obtained and the search uncovered a meth lab in the
shop behind the house, police said, adding that more than 400 grams of
meth were found.
Bowie Police Investigator Wes Wallace said that was the most drugs
confiscated within the city limits in the last 10 years. About 28 grams
was powder and the rest was liquid, police said.
Other indictments include the following:

on Feb. 7. Shaun Jordan Pike, 24, and Jonathon James Moore, 23, were each

Gagliano, 30, told them that the two men had attacked him in a downtown
alley, beat him and took $175 in cash.
