BOWIE (Special) - After two days of testimony, a Bowie jury sentenced Jeffrey Scott Davis to a 50-year prison sentence after Davis pleaded guilty to the manufacture of a controlled substance.

Davis, 28, Nocona, went to trial May 4 as an 11-woman, one-man jury panel was selected. After testimony ended, the jury took four hours Thursday to make its decision.
